The following personal data about you and your child will be stored in the IDeA Center’s participant database: Surname and First Name of Legal Guardian and child(ren), email address, address, telephone number, date of birth of child. Your data may only be used by researchers at the IDeA Center to invite you and your child to a study. Your data will remain strictly separate from the data obtained in studies. Your data will not be passed on to third parties.
The IDeA Center works in accordance with the provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Hessian Data Protection and Freedom of Information Act (HDSIG), as well as all other data protection laws.
Your data will remain stored in the participation database until you object to further storage or the child reaches the age of 18. Until this time, you have the option of having your entry deleted from the database at any time. If, when the IDeA Center attempts to contact you, it is determined that you can no longer be reached because your contact details are no longer up to date, your entry will also be deleted.
Furthermore, you have the option of asserting the following rights until the data is deleted:
- You have the right to withdraw your consent with effect for the future (Article 7(3) GDPR: Right to withdraw consent).
- You have the right to obtain information from us at any time about which of your personal data we process (Artikel 15 DSGVO: Right of access by the data subject).

- You can object to the processing of data concerning you (Article 21 GDPR: Right to object).
- If you are of the opinion that we have not complied with data protection regulations when processing your data, you can lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, which will examine your complaint (Article 77 GDPR: Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority).
Your declarations regarding the assertion of your rights must always be addressed in writing to the person responsible.
