Computer-based tasks
What are computer-based tasks?
Here, children work on tasks that are presented via a computer, for example, on a screen or through headphones. Responses are given by mouse or keyboard, touchscreen input, or verbally. Computer-based tasks enable, among other things, very precise reaction time measurements, which can provide insights into perception and thinking processes.
What happens during the study?

Under supervision, your child will complete tasks presented on a screen or via headphones.

To allow for optimal concentration and performance, the study takes place in a distraction-free environment.
What to keep in mind when participating?
- Your child’s vision should not be impaired. For example, if your child needs glasses, they should be worn during the study.
- Any factors that may affect your child’s participation (e.g., fatigue or stress) should be communicated to the researchers.
