What to expect? 

To make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible for you and your family, we offer a variety of entertainment and refreshment options. In addition to a selection of magazines, Wi-Fi is available. For children, there are many interesting games, books, and materials for drawing and crafting. We are happy to offer you beverages such as tea, coffee, or mineral water. 

What happens during a visit at IDeA? 

If your child takes part in a research project at the IDeA Labs, the researchers will provide you with all the necessary information in advance. The IDeA Labs are located at the DIPF | Leibniz Institute for Research and Information in Education. When you arrive for your scheduled appointment, a member of the research team will meet you at the entrance of the DIPF. 

First, you will be introduced to the facilities and your child will have the opportunity to get used to the new environment and the research team. 

During your stay, you and your child will have access to hot and cold beverages. If you feel that your child needs additional food, you are welcome to bring something with you and let our team know. 

We offer a wide range of games and books to keep your child occupied before the study and during breaks. 

At the end of the appointment, children receive small rewards, feedback, or souvenir photos to take home.

What to keep in mind when visiting the IDeA Labs?

• Unless otherwise agreed, please come to the main entrance of the DIPF. A member of the research team will be waiting for you there (directions). 
• You will then go together to the family and waiting area of the IDeA Labs. 
• If you are arriving by car, you can use the underground parking garage on the Goethe University campus. Please mention this when scheduling your appointment so we can register your car for the parking garage. 
• You can stay in the waiting area during the study, or you can leave your phone number and we will notify you before the appointment ends. Your child will be supervised throughout their stay with us. Nearby, you will find the university campus with various catering facilities and the Grüneburgpark. 
• You are welcome to bring along siblings who are not participating in the study. Our family area is suitable for all age groups.
