Attitudes and Actions of Parents and Professionals

The study examines from an educational and socio-scientific perspective the attitudes held by parents and educators at early childhood education and care (ECEC) facilities and primary schools, as well as their underlying beliefs and interactions. The focus is on processes found at the intersection of families and educational institutions that give rise to, reinforce or reduce educational inequalities.

DIALOG

The DIALOG project accompanies a 1.5-year training programme on the implementation of discovery and inquiry-based learning for early childhood educators. Various methods (e.g. video observations and smartphone-based surveys) will be used to investigate the interaction and communication between the actors and the conditions for successful implementation of the programme content.

The DiaS-K project will interview educators in kindergartens and doctors who carry out school entry examinations to find out what instruments for diagnosing self-regulation at kindergarten age need to look like so that they can be used in practice.

Hector Qualifizierung

Das in Baden-Württemberg entwickelte Konzept zur Förderung besonders begabter Grundschulkinder wird ab 2022 auch in Hessen implementiert. Dazu werden in jedem Schulamt Regionalkoordinator*innen eingesetzt, deren fachliche Qualifizierung im Projekt entwickelt und evaluiert wird.
