Project ESel
Effectiveness of Self-Regulation Training
We use meta-analyses and systematic reviews to investigate the effectiveness and conditions for success of self-regulation training. The meta-analyses focus on different training features (e.g. use of learning diaries) or different target groups (e.g. learners with ADHD).
We are currently conducting meta-analyses on the following topics (1) the effectiveness of self-regulation training in learners with ADHD, (2) the effectiveness of different forms of instruction in promoting self-regulation, (3) the effectiveness of learning diaries in promoting self-regulation, (4) the effectiveness of self-regulation training in learners with learning disabilities.
The aim of the project is to identify the conditions for success in promoting self-regulation in different target groups. The focus is on learners with self-regulation deficits. We are investigating teaching formats that make self-regulation training particularly effective in order to derive recommendations for promoting self-regulation and to identify gaps in research.
